šŸ“ˆor šŸ“‰ on Austin Ekeler?

Plus Christian Watson and Diontae Johnson Updates

Week 1 is approaching and I know youā€™re wondering about a few key players. Before we get there, donā€™t miss out on my Patreon where Iā€™ll be answering any and all injury related questions all season long. Right now I have transaction recommendations and projected return dates for for Diontae Johnson, Austin Ekeler, Mark Andrews, Travis Kelce, Jerry Jeudy, Jaylen Waddle and virtually every injured fantasy relevant player in the league. Hereā€™s a sneak peak of what that Cheat Sheet looks like:

Lastly, letā€™s victory lap out accurate Jerry Jeudy projection:

Letā€™s dive in:

Austin Ekeler

Iā€™m concerned about Ekeler who is dealing with what could be a high ankle sprain. The chances of him playing are low after missing 2 practices. Typically guys try to come back from ankle injuries immediately but just keep in mind the reinjury risk is 12% and production dip is 15% if this is indeed a high ankle sprain. If Ekeler is active you probably have to start him but donā€™t use him in DFS. Take any Josh Kelley overs!

Christian Watson

The initial projection for Watson was Week 2 or 3, and itā€™s looking to be Week 3 as he has not practiced for 2 days this week. Remember only 11% of WRs miss 3 or more weeks due to hamstring strains so donā€™t panic.

Diontae Johnson

Reports on Johnsonā€™s hamstring say he could miss ā€œup toā€ 4 weeks. But unless they move him to IR on Saturday afternoon, expect him to be back in Week 3 at best or Week 5 at worst based on historical data. Do not drop him! This is not any different than Watson or Jeudy - just be patient and follow the news.
