Travis Kelce

Travis Kelce is reportedly dealing with a hyperextended knee. Here’s what you should know:

  1. A hyperextension isn’t a specific injury. It’s a mechanism of injury that can implicate anything from a PCL sprain to a simple hamstring strain.

  2. Andy Reid has not released the details of the injury so there’s no moves to be made.

  3. At best, this is a single day injury. The median case scenario is this is 2-3 weeks for Kelce. There’s no use in speculating worst case scenario.

Jerry Jeudy

So, as previously mentioned, I don’t think Jerry Jeudy will be out beyond Week 2 maybe Week 3. He’s already trending in the right direction participating in stretch at practice:

He’s not out of the woods yet but this is definitely a step in the right direction. He’s falling down enough in ADP that I just drafted him tonight in 2 drafts.

Cooper Kupp

Well, Kupp went to see a ā€œbody specialistā€. Whatever that means. Kupp’s setback will likely result in a similar amount of time missed as Jerry Jeudy. The difference is that qualitatively we’re less certain exactly how long the Rams will hold him out. There’s a difference between returning at 85% and 100% and that could add an additional 1-2 weeks. Kupp’s specific situation is more of a wildcard. My advice is take him in the 2nd if he falls as long as you’re confident in replacing him for potentially the first 3-4 weeks of the season.

Don’t call anyone injury prone today,

-Edwin
